Just a bit a the large side
I've actually returned this item and went for the smaller version which is to arrive tomorrow. Within a few minutes of holding the kindle dx my wrists were actually hurting. It just was a little too large to make it worthwile for me. Part of the benefit of buying a kindle was its compact size and I just don't believe that the DX contributes to that convenience. It wouldn't fit easily into a purse. I look forward to receiving my kindle and get to reading, whether at the doctors or waiting in the school parking lot to pick up my baby.

The kindle is just awesome!! Only issue is that non-US customers have to wait very long for new releases...

What a fantastic device. So easy to use and read files on. I've used Kindle Store, bought ebooks and PDF files all worked without a hitch. I have no problems reading my work-related technical documents either. No hesitations in recommending this if you find it to be a problem reading electronic documents on PC or don't wish to carry a dead tree around with you.

Kindle ebook reader
I love my Kindle for most of my life I have loved reading and I almost always have a book with me whereever I go,now with the Kindle I can bring along a whole library.
The display is easy to read even in sunlight and I like that you can change the font size and have you ever been reading something only to have to go look up a word you have just read with the included dictionary just point the curser to the word and the definition appears at the bottom of the page.
I could go on and on so lets just say that I love my Kindle
Screen broke after 2 weeks and Amazon is charging a lot of money to fix.
I didnt even get to use this at all. Very fragile piece of device. Replacement screens cannot be found for DIY. Amazon is charging a lot of money to replace it. Grrrr. Buy case for it and treat it extra nice or pay the consequence..
